About Me

I have worked with writers, scholars, journals, and institutions for 12 years. I started Kate Wiegele Editing after six years with Janet Keller Editing. Meticulous and dedicated to accuracy, I prioritize reader experience and the author’s individual style.

My work as an author, social scientist, and educator informs my editing and coaching. 13 years in the classroom at Northern Illinois University (NIU) taught me how to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. I have written an award-winning ethnography, articles, book chapters, and successful grant proposals. In addition to working in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at NIU, I am currently writing a book of personal essays.
